We celebrate on two event floors with a view over the rooftops of Rostock!
Depending on the ticket you have booked, you will be seated on the Panorama Deck on the 7th floor, KAI40 Restaurant on the ground floor or in the KAI40 Lobby Lounge, where the New Year’s Eve buffet, DJ and dance floor are located. Afterwards you can stroll and dance across 2 floors and return to your table whenever you like.
Listen to our pianist on the first floor or let yourself be carried away by our DJs, who will create a great atmosphere on both dance floors. We serve a midnight snack at 00:15 in the KAI40 restaurant and then let New Year’s Eve fade away until 03:00 in the Lobby Bar.

How does New Year’s Eve work?
We will welcome you on your booked floor from 18:00 – 19:00. There you will be seated at festively decorated tables – in the Panorama Deck (7th floor) at tables of 10, in the KAI40 Restaurant at tables of 4, 6 or 8. You will receive your New Year’s Eve wristband directly at your seat – it entitles you to the buffet and a choice of drinks (non-alcoholic drinks, house wine, sparkling wine, beer,
selected long drinks, aperitifs). Other drinks, outside of the New Year’s Eve ticket, are available at our bars.
The dance floors and bars are open right from the start. You can dance here, linger there and return to your seat whenever you like.
To 00.00 a.m. we toast together with a glass of sparkling wine on our terraces in KAI40, 1st floor or on the roof terraces of the Panorama Deck and enjoy the glittering fireworks in the night sky!
For a little refreshment, we serve a midnight snack with sweet and savory delicacies at 00:15 in KAI40. from 01.30 – 03 .00 a.m. We will round off New Year’s Eve in the Lobby Lounge on the ground floor.
Where will we sit?
Depending on your ticket selection, we offer seating on the Panoram Deck, in the KAI40 Restaurant and in the Lobby Lounge and will seat you and other guests at our tables.
We make sure, for example, that we bring couples together with other couples and “small” groups together with other “small” groups at the tables.
Is there a dance floor?
Yes – our DJs provide a great atmosphere on the dance floors on the first floor
and on the Panorama Deck.
Is there a midnight buffet?
Naturally. At 00.15 we serve a midnight snack with sweet and savory delicacies – in proper style, atmospheric and of course with Berlin pancakes, as it should be in the north.
What is the dress code?
Dress as you feel comfortable – and enjoy casual elegance. For ladies, we recommend cocktail dresses, trouser suits or stylish combinations. Evening dresses are also welcome. Gentlemen wear chinos, jackets and shirts – with or without a tie.
Are children welcome?
Yes, with pleasure – we celebrate New Year’s Eve for all generations. Please note that children require their own tickets. We will be happy to advise you personally on suitable room categories such as our family rooms on T: 0381 3750 0.
Can we participate without a room reservation?
It is also possible to visit our New Year’s Eve event without an overnight stay.
You can easily purchase tickets via our store.
Can I set off my own fireworks?
There is plenty of space outside the hotel for your own rockets. We are happy to provide you with champagne bottles as a launch pad. Please observe the applicable local regulations for the setting off of fireworks.
